Automation systems of the stern sliding doors consisting of gear motors operating at 24 volts,dedicated electrical equipment, buffer batteries for operation in absence of voltage,internal control pushbutton panel, int./ext. Radars(active infrared type), external key-operated pushbutton panel for opening or,on request, watertight 12-key code keyboard. The electrical equipment has a relay for signalling open/closed door. Internal control pushbutton panel has 5 keys:
• opening key
• partial opening key
• stop key that enables the door to be opened manually
• internal/external radar disabling key
when one or both radars are disabled, these are still active when closing the door, in order to ensure that there are no obstacles in motion within their range. The internal pushbutton panel can also be used to reset the microprocessor in the electrical equipment or to disable automatic closing.
The automation is always fitted in a top box 100 mm. High integrated in the upper part of the door frame,containing the gear motors,the buffer batteries and the electrical equipment already fully wired and in working order. Only three wires leave one side of the box: one for power supply connection and the other two, by means of dedicated, non interchangeable connectors,for the internal pushbutton panel and for the external key-operated pushbutton. In addition, before delivery,the automatic door is connected to a device that performs approximately 500 opening and closing operations at regular intervals to test the entire system.Doors with a single non-counterbalanced sliding panel are equipped with an exclusive boat heeling detection system,that ensures the motors operate only when necessary, preventing overheating and thus poor performance.In the case of ddors with six panels (two fixed and four openable) a drive in the upper part enables the simultaneous opening of all four panels at variable speed and contemporary arrival at their opening limit stop.
All automatic doors are,in any case,fitted with a special mechanical lock allowing both manual and automatic door operation.
